Bromeliad is looking kinda “dull” I water when soil is becoming dry, as well as keep the leaves holding water. Could the dark spots on the leaves mean I have it too close to the window? I feel like it is deteriorating.. or is this normal growth patterns? Any advice, suggestions, opinions are greatly appreciated.

The flower is just lived out its time. Blooming takes a lot of energy so it won’t last forever. Once that bloom browns, you’ll have to cut it and then wait for it to grow a baby

These are short-lived by nature. Watch for new pups on the sides and focus your care on those as the adult plant fades
