Hey y’all, my strawberry plant is starting to brown a bit at the edges of her leaves. Anybody know what’s wrong? I’ve asked Planta but it keeps telling me it’s a fertilizer issue over and over again and I know that’s not it. Any help?

    Is it an older leaf?

It’s normal for the older leaves to do that and they eventually die in order to given its energy to the new leaves/growth

If it is a single stem that the leaves are yellowing or turning brown on it could just be the age of the leaf. Strawberries recycle their foliage frequently. As long as it is getting plenty of water and sunlight and it continues to push new leaves from the crown there is nothing to worry about. Just remove it when it turns brown.

Ah yeah she’s growing a whole new leaf trio as we speak and yeah, it’s one of her first leaves

My family and I planted some strawberries in our garden two or three years ago and they practically exploded, I’m not sure how they did it. Depending on where you live, maybe putting her outside might help?

Can’t put her outside, it’s way too hot and wet here, I live in coastal Texas
