Guys I’m having trouble with my orchid, it was so healthy but now it has like brownish color on the leaves, they are all droopy and it has like Cristal gooey stuff idk what it is, and the top of the roots already like yellow with brown outlines, but she is blossoming beautifully so idk, any thoughts on how to help her?
Flowering isn’t actually a sign of health with orchids so don’t let them deceive you. I recommend getting it out of that pot and out of the soil. Put it in an orchid pot (the ones with holes all over) with sphagnum moss - no soil!
0개 좋아요 When you take it out remove any roots that are shriveled or mushy. It will take time but it *should* bounce back. Mine was neglected in a neighbors north facing kitchen window for YEARS before it came to me and she thrives now
In the wild orchids like this one don’t grow in soil, they are epiphytes meaning they grow in nooks and crannies of trees and other plants etc
