My new Monstera Thai Constellation’s leaf looks brownish in spots. Any idea what’s going on?? Also, one of the leaves is dripping water. The water comes back after like 3 hours after me shaking it off the leaf, and it won’t stop- I don’t mist it, and I watered it a couple days ago. Any idea what’s going on with either??

it looks like the leaf may have been damaged, I accidentally bumped mine when I was cleaning it when her new leaf first started to sprout and I have similar marks from that never a bad idea to look for or treat for pests if you may be worried about that tho!

Be sure to clean the leave with some neem oil peppermint and Castile soap with isopropyl alcohol mixed well in a bottle with a microfiber cloth. Also check the roots

It's likely experiencing a natural process called guttation, where excess water and minerals are released from the leaves, often at night.

I bought one from Lowe’s a couple weeks ago. It did the same thing as I had it close to a humidifier. I moved it a little farther away and it has stopped. Thais seem temperamental with hydration. It has to be just right.. in my opinion. I’m just waiting to see if I unalive this one or not 😂

If you're concerned or noticing consistent decline I would definitely check the roots, in my experience thais are super prone to root rot

From my normal monstera to my thai I did notice it needs less water and more light, are you allowing the soil to dry about half way, also if it’s a new plant it may still be adjusting

It is a new plant, and I’ve only watered it once and that was when i got it. Thanks for the advice!
