Is there any hope of this guy reviving? I got him maybe a year ago, only the one stem and leaf. I just noticed a little bit of root sticking out the bottom of the pot. Maybe it needs a repot? It’s been a while. But would repot save the plant? Or once a plant is yellow (looks like this) is it done and no hope?

Aww sorry sweetie but yes once the leaf starts yellowing in won't go back to green. I can't tell by the picture but is that the only leaf and stem on it? Check the roots to see if they have rotted. You only need to repot to a bigger size if the roots are wrapped all around the soil. One root doesn't mean it needs repotting. But check the roots to see. If you want to try and save it you can give it fresh soil and cut off the yellow leaves and hope it grows a new leaf.

Yes, it’s only the one leaf and stem. Thanks for the advice! I should check the roots to see what’s going on since nothing has really changed

If it completely dies back don’t throw it out! You can try restarting it in a mix of perlite and stratum (semi hydro). I’ve had a lot of success with wet sticks or chonks in that medium

Thanks for the advice! I had just a stem with a node from another plant I was going to try to propagate, but I just plopped it in a little jar of water 🙈 but maybe I should do a semi hydro medium so the stem doesn’t rot

Yes! Just fill a far with the medium and then with water below the stick. Or you could do moss, that works really well for me if it’s healthy. I usually do the perlite and stratum for rehabs. If you do moss you could spray it with diluted super thrive instead of only water!
