Are these fungus gnat larvae??? Or something else? I have these guys falling out the bottom of my corn plant and my anthuriums. How do I get rid of them? Thanks for the advice! 😊

I have also found only one or two in my plant saucers, but with lots of finely ground soil. I was told the soil was worm castings and not knowing any better, I assumed that was the type of worm creating that lovely fertilizer.

Mmmm so are they bad for the plant?

I’ve found those coming out the bottom of my heart leaf brasil. There were also live centipedes. I sprayed with Neem oil and that seemed to work.

Oh dang, I haven’t seen any live ones. Maybe they are all buried. I tried dish soap in the water but didn’t seem to do the trick.

Google said centipede🤷🏽‍♂️and that they weren’t harmful to plants. All I know is that I don’t want them anywhere in my home so…

Gnat larvae is very tiny. So these aren’t them.

No ma’am. They’d be tiny. These look like some sort of caterpillars

Ya and I am confused because it started in one plant and now it’s in another plant that is on the opposite side of the room…..sooo how did it spread? 😂

I wonder it was in the soil already. Wouldn’t be unheard of. Especially if the came from the same place. Or if a pest came in and layer some eggs. I don’t know but it has to go! 😂

They look like grubs where did they come from

No idea where they came from but it was only in one plant…now they spread to another plant across the room. The plant seems healthy tho? I just don’t want it to spread more. Can you treat a plant the same for all pests? Like soapy water or neem?

Does anyone think that is what is creating the fine granular soil under some pots? Or something else? I found one deceased worm like the one in Avalon’s photo months ago. I was told they are worm castings, but have not seen any earthworms… Looking for certain confirmation regarding what is creating this please. Thank you 🪴
