I bought this monstera last spring and it appears to be thriving. However, I just noticed the undersides of many leaves have developed dark semi-translucent patches almost the same color as the tops. Cant seem anything similar. Placed with other plants near a window and a growlight and watered approximately every 3weeks when dry. It has been a bit cold recently with low humidity and I just watered yesterday.

If this happened after watering then it’s probably guttation, basically the leaves are waterlogged. Took up water too fast, and didn’t know what to do with it. It will probably go away in a few days.

It’s edema/oedema. The roots take in water and the plant is not releasing the excess through transpiration. So, you get the wet look translucent markings on the leaves especially along the edges. Guttation is the plant dripping the excess water like a leaky faucet. You may not get the translucent leaf markings with guttation. This condition should go away in a few days and after reducing the watering frequency. Several things can affect the transpiration ability of the plant from my understanding: 1) Insufficient lighting - Well lit plants grow faster and use more water 2) Too high humidity 3) Poor air circulation 3) Cold temperatures 4) Calcium, phosphorus deficiencies
