Dracaena Lisa: I have had for about 4 years now and around 5’6” tall. I repot her about a year ago. Now I think her soil is too compact. About a month ago, I noticed these “water stained” looking spots mainly on the new growth from the very top. The spots grew bigger and developed more of a tan center with yellow halo around it. I was fearing a fungal or bacterial disease, so I cut off two leaves from the top. I have applied two applications of Cooper fungicide. I added a grow light (on lower setting) and will probably cut back on watering (was watering when top 2” dry but will probably go to 3 or 4”. It looks a little better. There are about 3-4 leaves with these spots on them. Any suggestions on what to do is greatly appreciated!!!

yeah usually damaged new growth is caused by a fungal problem. I would repot, rinse the roots and spray with hydrogen peroxide. make sure to use fresh soil and try to get any of the old dirt off the roots in case it is contaminated. check for root rot while you're in there
