any ideas on how to fix this? have had this palm since august 2023 with no issues and now the edges are browning/yellowing. watering once a week or so. the front of the plant, not shown, facing towards the interior of the room is not browning.
That’s a majestic palm. They are pretty finicky. I would try adding a humidifier.

I don’t have this plant or know anything about them but it sounds like something is happening to one side that is not happening to the other side. Could it be the lighting?
0개 좋아요that’s my assumption. the front of the plant - facing towards the interior is perfect. the back and two sides have gotten brown and yellow since it started to get cold out. the windows do not leak any cold air but it might be that!!! thank you!!
2개 좋아요 Yes! Could be also. Either way I’d move it back some. At least for a while to see if that fixes the problem. Things like humidity and water would impact the entire plant imo. Good luck!
0개 좋아요Had a similar issue; humidity was the culprit on my end. Since then, I added a humidifier near the plants and I mist spray the palm leaves directly & daily, because I live in cold temps with the heater on. Helped out a lot.

I have a bunch of them full grown I had to bring inside from my deck. Do not water the plant once a week unless you’re following Planta. Otherwise, make sure it is away from any vents, mist weekly for the humidity and clip the browned leaves down to the green, not the entire leaf unless it’s a goner anyway. I hope this helps in a few weeks.
