   My guess would be thrips. As the person above said gnat flies won’t cover your leaves like that. Do some research, thrips can be a real pain to get rid of. Isolate the plant first and foremost if you can to avoid them spreading.

   Take the plant into the shower and rinse it down, change the soil and rinse the roots, if you see them come back just continue to do the same thing and they’ll eventually die off

     ^^^This. I did this for my cat palm shook it violently in the shower under a warm rinse. all the bugs came off, repeat maybe 1-2 more times.
