Hi! This is my first plant and recently I noticed some brown spots on the bottom of one of the leaves and a cut on one of them. Is this something I should be concerned about?

    It’s most likely damage from transit, but I would inspect all of the leaves (especially the undersides) just to be sure.

    Mine has some spots like that and she’s thriving (putting out new leaves constantly). Also, the leaves can get brittle when it’s freshly watered because the leaves have high turgor pressure, so if the plant is handled roughly, it’s not unusual for the leaves to have a few cuts.

      Also the leaves can get pretty contorted when they’re forming, and I’ve noticed damage on some leaves when the contortion was extreme.
