Hello, guys! Maybe someone can help me to identify the problem with my Fig leaf tree. So, I bought it few weeks ago and didn't notice the white spots on the some leaves. But now I see they are spreading on other leaves. What can it be?

It could be mealy bugs or dust but i think it’s the bug option

It’s possibly mealy bugs if the white spots are cottony/fluffy. It could be something the leaves are excreting (excess minerals from too much fertilizer or chalky water) if the spots are crystallized or chalky.

They look more like the chalk, and when I tried to peel one off it left a small dark dot. And seemed to appear again in other places.

If it were me, the next time it’s time to water I’d shower her completely down, top and bottom of leaves, to flush whatever it is off. I’d then treat with either an insecticidal soap or neem oil mixture weekly. Wipe down her leaves every few days while you’re treating her. 🙏🏼

Thank you for the recommendation! I still hope there’s nothing bad with it, because the plant is growing, so it seems it likes the surrounding 🙂
