A blast, this transescantia is having trouble? I keep it under a grow light, avoid having the leaves come in contact with water, and follow planta’s instructions. Any ideas about what happened/what I can do? TIA!

This looks like a watering problem. Don’t trust Planta’s watering schedule

I have this plant and she is THIRSTY! She also loves natural light… grow lights I’ve noticed with this plant can be a bit harsh. It doesn’t need too much light but it’s a bit delicate. If you need grow lights keep them farther from the plant that way it won’t burn and your water won’t dry up too quick!

Mine is outside. I had a Purple Heart plant same species and it was inside then moved it outside. I agree with above. Probably watering issue. When is the time it got fertilized?

I agree with all of the comments. They like being outside or where they can get sunlight near a window. They like succulent soil that’s well draining. Your soil looks a bit muddy. It’s hard to tell from one picture. Water thoroughly and let it dry out more than typical houseplants. They hate overwatering and wet feet. It can easily lead to root rot. Fertilize it regularly or use Osmocote type granules worked in the soil.

They are not sensitive to water from my experience. My potted Purple Heart tradescantia lives outside full time. It mostly gets rain water. I water with the hose in summer. My water is chalky. My two leg lifting dogs urinate on it and I was it down with soapy dish water!😅🤣
