I don’t think I’m destined to own a Fiddle Leaf Fig 💔 I have had 3 over the years and each one has slowly drifted away after a year or so. Anyone have thoughts on why I can’t keep em alive? It always starts with lower leaf drop (normal) and then new growth on top (normal) and then BOOM leaves turn black and fall off quite rapidly. I always check for root rot and pests and always come up clear! Help!
I watched a couple of these die at my house. Never fully knew why. I was told low humidity and moving them from their spot. It was going down hill at the first pot and died faster at the new spot closer to the window. I just admire them from afar, now 😁

They can definitely be picky and emotional. 😆 I’ve found that they want the brightest light you can give them. If you have a south/southwest window, that would be best. Mine likes a semi-chunky, good draining soil. I feed it with plant food regularly and RARELY repot. Try a grow light if you haven’t! 🙏🏼🌿

Not sure what to offer but can say this… Fuddle leaf figs are so finicky, they can be unpredictable and hard to care for for even the most prolific plant owners…
