This is on my Hoya. It looks hard vs fuzzy but wondering if it mealy bugs or anything else to worry about?

    Those look like mealy bugs to me! I’m dealing with em as we speak 😓

      Thanks. I’m erring on the side of caution and wiped it off with some rubbing alcohol. 🤞🏻 I got it all & in time.

    They crawled in from somewhere. Wipe under the pot and the area around the pot including nearby plants.

      I’m new to owning plants - when they say to check close plants or keep them apart…how far is that? lol I’ve got a slated stand and this one was on a ledge by itself and the next on would be about 12 inches up and another 12 over. Is that close enough for them to have spread?

    Check everything in the room. That’s what I would do because I had mealybugs spread to 5 plants before I realized they were on the move. Took me about 5 weeks to clear them out with the help of tree frogs and lizards because I moved the plants outside in spring!😄
