hey so i’ve had a pilea for about 3 years and he’s started looking a little unhappy, mainly leggy and not keeping his bottom leaves for long, i think it could be lack of sun because he’s in a north east window but earlier on i had him in a south window and he seemed to be getting burnt, there was also an incident lately where i used the wrong soil for repotting and all of my plants were in bad soil that didn’t dry for about two weeks so he had to get repotted twice but he hasn’t really changed too much except he lost about 3 leaves, i apologize for referring to him as a person lol but here’s pictures the first is before the repotting incident and the second is about a week after it (i was also away for three weeks and my mom was in charge of the plants and didn’t rotate him so that’s y he’s a bit bendy lol)

    I’m not too much of an expert but I wonder if propagating would help. Or maybe repotting in a bigger pot. I think I read somewhere that if the plants start growing taller it might be be because they’ve outgrown their pot. I had a little plant that was thriving but only going upwards and the roots had started to rot so I propagated and now it’s happer than ever. Also I had issues with bottom leaves yellowing with another plant which ended up just being because of pests and no amount of repotting was getting rid of them. So make sure to check your soil for any infestation ☺️ - though hopefully that’s not the case for your plantie

    Mine is like this too— I recently added a stake to support it and it’s started having new growth! We’ll see :)

    Leggy plants are usually from insufficient light. Add a grow light for convenience. They are not too expensive. You can put a few plants together on a shelf or table and add a clip on or floor standing 3-light strip for under $25. Additionally, propagating is a good idea. Looks like you have a baby plant in the pot! Add higher humidity, water when the soil dries out a little and regularly fertilize in the growing season should help the plant recover. Good luck🍀

    Your issue looks similar to one I had. Here’s how I fixed it: fertilized w miracle gro, staked for support, and took out of full sun. Now I do part sun, mostly indirect. Let the soil dry out not completely, but mostly. Then water, drain and don’t water it again until it’s mostly dry. Your leaves seem a little lacking in color which makes me think fertilizer and too much light. Here’s a before and after of what those changes did to my Pilea — it grew so much it outgrew its pot and is now two large plants w many babies
