What is happening to my Calidora Elephant Ear??? Leaves are drooping and breaking where I have the wire but there’s new growth as well in the middle. Is the pot too small? It’s currently in a plastic pot inside a terracotta one. I see some roots on the top of the soil. The soil is fairly moist. Not sure when was last time that I watered it though. The plant overall has never kept more than 3 leaves at the time. They all turned yellow and slowly died like it’s happening to the big yellow one. Please help!

It could be because it’s going dormant, make sure the room is warm and mist it twice a week during the winter

That’s definitely the coldest room of the house so that might be a reason

Alocasia’s like to exaggerate when it gets cold! Maybe move it to a warmer space. Also about the wires, because the top is so heavy I’d try using a long stick and tying the stick to the steams to keep them up instead of the wire

i think that wire is way too tight around the stems, and it looks like the one stem was cut by the wire. alocasia leaves tend to branch further outward than the wire would allow. like soup suggested a stake of some sort would help
