Recently repotted my spider plant because he was root bound in his old planter, he’s been watered once since the change and has been dropping an insane amount of leaves since then. The soil is still damp but the dead leaves are more crispy, he had big healthy roots when I repotted him. I’d repot him again if I wasn’t afraid of stressing him out, can’t find any signs of pests. Any guesses as to what’s wrong would be appreciated, he’s my oldest plant and I’m gonna be devastated if he doesn’t make it

It’s probably overwatering if the soil is too wet too long. Spider plants can store a lot more water in their roots than typical houseplants because of their thick roots. So, they can go longer between watering. Check for root rot. Another possibility is the soil composition may need more materials like perlite for better drainage. Also, check the drainage holes are not clogged and water freely flows.

I’ll see if that’s the problem then, thank you!
