You could switch to something like Pon, but I have had great luck with hydrogen peroxide diluted in water. Treat with that and then let it dry out!

I did the sticky traps, hydrogen peroxide mix, then the mosquito bit tea. All of them helped; but I think the things that helped me finally get them almost gone was letting my plants dry out on the surface, bottom watering, and covering soil with a layer of pumice that kept the adults from getting to the soil for laying eggs.

Bottom watering your plants for a bit to help the top soil dry out, as well as sprinkle cinnamon on the soil as well! It’s a natural fungicide, and will help to kill the eggs before they hatch. Keep the sticky traps to continue to help with the ones that make it to adulthood

A little bit of Dawn dish detergent and water is what I was told to water my plants with to kill off the gnats. I also got a Zevo plugin light and it really works!

Dawn dish soap actually has a sulfite ingredient in it that is harmful to your plants. If you opt for this method, use the following pictured recipe in which the soap has a different more natural less harmful type of sulfite in it. Use Dr Bronners soap or Dr Woods brand only.
