I have started to notice small flies around my succulent. Please could someone tell me what they are and how to get rid of them.

Are they in the soil or just around the pot?

Change the soil ASAP. It’s going to get worse they’re growing in the soil.

What else is in the pot with that succulent?

they’re fungus gnats if that helps! you can search up some prevention methods; I had an infestation a while ago and it wasn’t fun:(( repotting will get rid of any fungus gnat larvae, but hydrogen peroxide effectively kills them! +isolate your succulent away from any other house plants in case it spreads👍

This happened to me once too. Definitely separate it away from other plants first! Repot it and you can also try using cinnamon as an anti fungal agent. Just ground cinnamon! It works on the soil or in a watering can too. Seemed to perk up my other plants as a bit of extra nutrients for them too, since I did the watering can method.
