Help please!!! My Ctenanthe leaves are curling. I measured the moisture of soil, it was moderately wet. I thought it’s too wet and changed part of the soil with dry soil but still leaves are curling.

When I separated some offsets off my mother plant, the offsets curled up tightly just like yours. I think they just do this when stressed. One offset uncurled after a week and the other after two weeks, so as long as there isn’t any root rot, hopefully yours do the same.

Here they are curled up again because I watered them late 😅

Oh they are too sensitive. Can I ask how often do you water them? I’m wondering if I am overwatering by every 9 days

Yep super sensitive, but they’re pretty hardy thankfully. Hmm I tend towards the under-watering side since I’m deathly afraid of root rot 😂 stick a finger a couple inches in the soil, and if it’s dry, water thoroughly until water drains out the holes of the pot. <—— that is the correct way to do it. How I do it: when the leaves curl up it’s time to water 😂 I don’t really keep a schedule but I would estimate on average I water every 10-14 days. I have fast-draining soil and the room gets pretty hot (upper 80s), so that could be impacting it. If you let it go too long you’ll also get some weird sticky crystal stuff on the back of the leaves. I thought I had pests the first time I had that happen. ALSO I learned the hard way that these plants are susceptible to sunburn.
