My snake plant needs help! Planta said it would do well in a low light room but also said it needs more light in a part shade room. Any suggestions? This poor baby feels doomed and for some reason I haven’t been able to grow snake plants. They are supposed to be easy!

It’s likely that it’s being overwatered. You shouldn’t water it until the soil is completely dry. Use a chopstick to poke into the soil (all the way) and if any soil sticks, don’t water. Once no soil sticks, you’re good to thoroughly water. Remember that overwatering has nothing to do with the amount you put, but instead how often. You can dump gallons of water into a plant that has drainage and as long as you l dry it dry out between each watering, you’ll be good :)

Just remember low light doesn’t mean no light. In my opinion, for a snake plant to thrive, it needs at least light from a north facing window or a grow light if no window available.
