I managed to root a mid-stem Cutting from my Hoya Mauna Loa but it will not produce a growth point. It’s been since February and still no growth. Any tips on how to activate growth on this little thing?

Not a Hoya Mauna Loa it’s a Hoya compacta

I actually like ceylon cinnamon a lot too which can help with roots forming. Also make sure the node is submerged in whatever substrate you have it in. I don’t know if roots will grow unless some water touches it or not.

I left the other nodes above ground because I wasn’t sure where the new growth was going to want to emerge from. It gets plenty of filtered morning sun and artificial light and the rest of the plant is growing like nuts. I let it dry out a bit between waterings and the substrate is pretty chunky and drains well. I even tried opening the scab on the tip but it just sealed back over. I’m just going to leave it there and maybe in a few years it’ll do something. Hoyas are weird. Part of their charm I guess. 😊
