Wife noticed about a dozen of these ant/tick looking bugs on our spider plant this morning. It was difficult to get a good photo and this is the first seeing them on any of our indoor plants. Any idea what they are and how to remove/prevent them? Thank you!

I’m not sure what those are. You probably already quarantined this away from other planets outside. Knock off the obvious ones with a hose, if you haven’t already. I would use insecticidal soap or neem oil spray. May require repeated applications. Follow the instructions. I found several ear wigs crawling out of my spider plant today! I will dunk the plant underwater to see what else crawls out. Then, use insecticidal soap a few times to kill the late born offsprings, if any.

Use 4 drops of soap (any soap works but mainly dish soap) in a spray bottle add water and shake very well and do this 2-3 times a week to keep pests away.
