    some kind of fungus, it looks really cool! if youā€™re worried about it harming your plants iā€™d grab a shovel and scoop all the soil in that area somewhere far away, then refill the hole w garden soil. since fungi grow and reproduce from their mycelia (root-like structures) if you leave any behind it could grow back

    An online image search came up with Fulgio Septicai (Planta wouldnā€™t let me post its common nameā€¦). Says its not harmful to your plants, and gives you ways to remove it.
