Plant guy Lito

My new baby has a leaf turning yellow. On the right was the day I got it this past Friday. Now today I realized the big leaf is turning yellow. Since I’ve gotten the plant I did not repot it. I water it today because I realized it was pretty thirsty. Any tips on what I can do to prevent it from getting worse. Or is this possibly just an old leaf that’s ready to go? Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Likely an old leaf. Lots of activity there!

That’s what I’m thinking too. My fear is the rest of the leaves turning yellow considering it’s part of the picky alocasia family

It’s looking so happy that I doubt it. But I don’t have experience with this plant. It seems like others have been saying that they’re a plant that put a lot more focus on new growth and readily lose old leaves to keep energy focused.

I’m gonna hope for the best and see how it goes

this one is one of the easier alocasias in my experience, check for spider mites though.
