i got a new plant a three days ago, decided to rotate and examine the plant and saw a bunch of leaves that looked like this only on one half of the plant. the rest of the plant looks very healthy, including the pothos that are planted at the base. is this a big issue?

Yes. It’s a fungal infection and will spread to the rest of the plant if not addressed. I would cut off all affected areas if not the entire leaf

Neem oil if you have it or can get it. I didn’t have any when I found a fungal problem on one of my plants. Found a diy recipe for 1 gallon water, 1 Tablespoon, baking soda, and 1 teaspoon dish soap. It said spray leaves until it runs off and do not rub leaves because it might release more fungal spores. Best to quarantine this plant and treat it away from all of your other plants and dispose of infected leaves carefully to make sure you don’t accidentally spread to other plants. Make sure to sterilize scissors before and after with rubbing alcohol. I did this for a few days until I could get Neem oil delivered. You’re welcome to look at my plant’s notes. I even tried a rubbing alcohol thing after a while of foliar sprays and a little progress.

Plant’s name is Della. She’s a Chlorophytum orchidstratum (something like that)/ Spider Plant Fire Flash. I love her so far still alive.
