    Looks like a bacterial thing, have you check for pests ?

      I did not, though I will. I do have gnats in the home. Do you think it could be gnats ? I could always change the soil/fertilize it too? If that’ll help

    If you have gnats it might be, this happened to mine a month ago. I would suggest using some sand or rock on top so gnats can’t lay more eggs. Repotting and cleaning the roots may be a good idea, you can do a hydrogen wash on the roots before repotting to be sure you killed anything

    I think it might be a fungus. Those black spots are usually a mold thing. Your soil may be too wet, or there's not enough drainage. Changing the soil may help.
