This is my new spider plant. I’d like to keep it outside during the summer and bring it inside in like September or October. I’d be keeping outside at seasonal campsite in the summer. I’m worried about it getting bugs. I don’t want my plant to get infested or eaten and I don’t want to bring bugs home to my other plants. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to keep bugs away from my plant? I’m willing to use pesticides I’m just scared to spray it with something and it killing my plant. So I was wondering if anyone on here has used any that work to prevent bugs and didn’t damage the plants.

I’m in Zone 9. I have never had pests bother my spider plants. The plants are in both pots and in the ground. Not even the snails eat them. I bring in the cold sensitive plants when a hard freeze is announced, usually a few days. Only lizards ride in on them. I would avoid spraying pesticides before you have pests. I don’t know of pest preventatives. Good luck.

U should try Bonide’s Systemic Granules, u can sprinkle it ontop of the soil and water as usual. It’ll kill pests that munch on the plant or the soil
