might be wrong but i’m pretty sure that falls under calathea, i’ve got one and it’s quite fussy about light, i’d probably just move it away from the window and see how it does

I know calathea plants all prefer a high humidity, so it’s possible that’s what the problem is. It could be drying out, so try adding a humidity tray underneath or a humidifier.

Might be sunburn. Indirect light only for calatheas.
0 likesI have it in a north facing window so I don’t think it actually gets the greatest indirect light it I’ll try moving it a little further away because I do have it in my window sill
0 likesI don’t think it’s sunburn, this happened to my rattlesnake plant and I’m pretty sure it was from lack of humidity
1 likeI have two cups of water next to it but I’ll try to mist it more. Thank you!

That may be burning from water droplets staying on the leaves after you mist or water. The droplets act like tiny magnifying glasses and can burn perfect round little circles like that. The fact you mist and it’s also in the window made me think this. Mist in the evening after the sun is down or early am so it has enough time to dry before getting sun. I have mine in a west facing window and she does just fine.

I am assuming you know to only water calatheas with distilled, filtered or rain water, yes?
0 likesMy striped calatheas I do, but I didn’t think of that for my rattlesnake plant because I wasn’t told to do that but now since I realize they’re in the same class that I need to start doing that
