So for some reason my string of hearts decided to grow mushroom from the bottom, and they’re coming out the drainage holes. I took the plane out the pot to inspect the soil, there’s no root root or pests… does anyone know what’s going on?

Maybe it's the moisture caught between the pot and the saucer? If it's not drying out completely, maybe that is helping the mushrooms grow. I had a saucer that was just a bit too small for my pot, it left a little gap, and it grew algae pretty quickly.

Mushrooms aren’t really a bad thing, they’re beneficial!

I agree. Cool documentary out there called Intelligent Trees. It’s about the connection of trees through the soil via mushroom and root networks. Trees share their billing experiences with each other and form communities.
