We bought this hydrangea on Saturday and it doesn’t seem to be doing great. I repotted it and have only watered it once and it rained today. Not sure what the leaf color means and they are curling up. Any ideas?

It looks like it either is getting too much sun or it needs to be watered more? I do not know where this beautiful girl lives, but I grow a lot of Hydrangeas in Northern California. I have to water them twice a day this time of year.

So a tag may say 6+ hours but that really depends on your growing zone. I’m in a zone 8a, smooth hydrangeas get morning to mid morning sun with dappled shade/ shade from the midday or scorching sun. Where as my panicle lime light hydrangea gets dappled shade and late afternoon sun.

Just google what is the growing zone for your location. It’s crucial for growing your outdoor plants successfully.
