Mouton

Not sure if it’s a problem or not, but I’ve been seeing little mushrooms pop up in my potted plants. Is this a good thing or not? I have been plucking them out. Does anyone know anything about these guys?

I was having the same issue and goggle almost made me throw my whole fiddle tree away. I am so happy I saw this plus the response. The mushrooms grew and died in like two days. I’m new to being a plant mom so I notice everything just like having a new born baby. Thanks again everyone.

It just means you have a happy ecosystem! They are completely harmless to the plant, but some people just don’t like the look of ‘em.

I just saw a video the other day that the mushrooms are actually beneficial to the plant as well

Yes. Myco or mushrooms have a symbiotic relationship with the plants so if they are present, they are doing a good job at balancing the nutrition in the soil. It means good things for the plant ultimately.

Mushrooms won’t do any harm, but if you really want to get rid of them try letting the top soil fry out in between waterings
