Moonshine

I have a large Baltic Blue Pothos with yellow patterning on some leaves. It is attached to my wall currently. It does not have any visible pests. I water with distilled water, and fertilize half strength every couple of weeks. I wonder if this is a nutrient issue though. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

I’m wondering if it’s over fertilized? But O.M.G. What a beautiful plant!!! 💚💚💚

That could be! It’s only on very specific leaves so I’m baffled! I have worked hard on this plant 😂 the first one I got had root rot bad from Lowe’s. I salvaged some of it but when I saw this one that hadn’t been overwatered yet for $15 I snatched it up :) I will try not adding any fertilizer to the water for a few weeks and see if that helps.

I find that fertilizing about once every six weeks works just fine for most of my bigger plants, for some reason. The Planta schedule recommends much more frequent fertilizing, but since it can burn their roots, I prefer to repot more frequently and take it easy on the additives. Just my personal experience. Maybe some of the other members here have a different opinion?

I repotted it last night as the roots were bound up and coming out the bottom (was tricky keeping it attached to the wall!) so I definitely won’t add anything to the water. It hasn’t put many fenestrated leaves out despite the wall attachment for some reason…I’m just glad it’s growing though! Thank you for the advice ❤️

I’m wondering how close it is to the sun? Sometimes if a plant is too close to the sun it’s green colour starts to fade into a yellow.

This one is about 2’ from a hanging grow light. I did notice these do not like bright light at all. I hope it’s not the grow light because this baby is suckered to the wall and I hate to rip it off! Maybe I can find a taller plant to shade it…
