I bought this alocasia from Walmart yesterday. The picture on the right is what it looked like yesterday. The picture on the left is today. I watered it today. The leaves are DRY and crispy. I don’t see any bugs but I loved it away from all of my other plants in case I’m not seeing something. Is this just another stubborn alocasia or is something else killing it?

Looks like shock. Sudden changes like, temperature, humidity, lighting, can really stress a plant out, and cause it to lose its leaves. Don’t give up on it yet! Just research your plants needs (: there’s still a high probability of you bringing her back.

Is it safe to say that once the leaves are crunchy and brittle I should just cut those off?

That’s what I do with my colocasias 🥲 unfortunately, once they’re dry, there is no bringing them back.

It was lol not doing so hot at the moment. She got a big chop this morning, so now I’m banking on a new leaf to sprout 😅
