Curious if anyone can help with my string of pearls - other than a few bright green pearls in the middle of the pot, the rest of the plant has started shriveling up. It was previously one of my healthiest plants so I’m at a bit of a loss. Are the shriveled strings salvageable, or should I cut them off and let the healthy middle part regrow?

Its hard to say without identifying the cause. Unfortunately, the shrivel could be as a result of over-watering or under-watering. Tempted to say under. But, how often have you been watering? If under watered you may be able to plump some of them back up (not all), but if over watered those pearls may be a lost cause.

Thanks Danika! I’ve been watering roughly every 10 days based on Planta’s schedule. I just watered about 2 days ago and was hoping they’d plump up but haven’t seen a change, so I may have to take a look at the roots. If overwatered I’ll give the strings a trim like you suggested!

While it’s good to go by the schedule I would make sure that the soil has actually dried up in between watering and is not still moist when you water again.
