What have happened to my lemon tree and what should I do? This sticky mess is under most of the leaves and some small white flies/insects (see picture) are also under the leaves and flying up when I touch it. Please help! 😭🍋

Those are certainly pest larvae. Either trim the leaves off or wipe the eggs off.

It looks like white flies to me. Separate from any other plants. Use insecticidal soap or neem oil, applying to the entire plant, including the underside of the leaves. I would wipe away the droplets before treating. Repeat the treatment as directed on the packaging. Be sure to move it out of direct sunlight while treating. Both the soap and oil can burn leaves if in direct sunlight. You can also use the sticky yellow fly traps, although I don’t know how useful they really are. These beggars are tough but you’ve got this!

So sad! 😭 But I’ll give it a try! What is the sticky transparent thing? Strange also is that my Ficus tree is just next to the lemon tree but nothing on that one 🤔

The sticky is probably poo 🤢 Similar to the honeydew produced by aphids 🤮
