Croton help. I’ve had this Croton for 6 or so years and finally decided to repot it. It’s been two weeks and it started drooping after 3 days. Any ideas?

Did you change the type of soil? Or did you add fertilizer right after repotting?

That pot may be way too big for the plant from what I can see. Check to see if the plant likes being root bound or if it likes a lot of space. I know when you go into a bigger pot it may need more or less watering, so has the watering schedule changed?

I’d downsize your pot and add some bark to the soil to aerate it more. When I repotted mine from straight potting soil to a mix of potting soil and bark, the plant exploded with growth. They really hate being too wet…root rot will occur with oversized pots and too much soil.

I have a Croton as well, and it tends to droop whenever it needs water

It looks like it just needs water ~ they perk up quickly. I split mine from 3 to 2& 1… and they are happier. Drop when dry.🪴🪴
