    Looks like it could be scale?

      I’d cut off those leaves in case with some sanitary shears. Or you could try spraying some neem oil first but just check it doesn’t spread.

    I don’t think that’s scale. I had a rubber tree a few years ago that did this and it just kept shedding leaves. I never figured out what it was. I hope you do!

    I had similar spots on the underside of my American rubber plant and I think it might’ve been thrips 😬

      I would nudge any black specks you see and if they move by itself, it might be thrips… in particular I see a speck of interest on the first picture, towards the right of the leaf that you’re holding
