Any help would be appreciated! My birds nest is getting brown and dry at some points on the leaves. I’m not sure what to do here. I water it once a week as I heard this plant doesn’t like its soil to get dry.

Do you have a steady humidity system set up for it? Ferns grow in the wettest parts of the forest so I keep mine near a humidifier that runs 24/7. It still gets crunchy in some parts, but it remains lush and bushy. Another factor that yields brown crunchy leaves is hard water - I try to water mine with rain water when I can. Otherwise I’ll leave tap water in a container overnight so some of its mineral content evaporates (so I’ve heard).
0 likesI do not but that is good to know! I’ll try the tap water thing and see if that helps! Thanks so much :)
1 likeSadly leaving tap water sit overnight really won’t do much scientifically speaking. Better to use distilled water to mist, in my experience 🪴
0 likesI have a similar plant and I water it every few days. I also mist it frequently. Drying out at all will make the leaves go brown in the ends.
