My M. Adonasii also has something up with this leaf yellowing/browning, esp older growth. I think it’s dry, warm air causing it. Considering increasing the water frequency, also changing to a terra cotta pot along with a soil amendment just around the root ball, not disturbing the roots much. Is the terra cotta going in the wrong direction? Any thoughts?

    If you’re using terracotta, you might find yourself watering a bit more often since it dries out faster. Do you usually check the soil moisture before watering each time? And have you had a chance to check the roots? Sometimes yellowing or browning leaves can be a sign of overwatering or early root rot. Also, are the leaves getting wet from misting? Excess moisture sitting on the leaves too often can actually increase the chances of fungal issues—so the dry air might be more helpful than it seems!

      I mist frequently, the room is pretty hot and lacks humidity. I’m pretty sure there’s no fungal issues. I’ll be checking the roots tomorrow when I amend the soil. I don’t think I overwater but I could be wrong. I do check before watering but in this room the watering schedule is shortened a lot due to dry conditions. I think the terra cotta will help with reducing any water retention in the pot.

      The dry air isn’t helping… all of my plants are indicating they need more humidity so I know I need to fix that. Checking the roots seems like a good next step.
