Hort Specialisteither rain or dew, and injury or fruit cracking increases the probability of preharvest infection and consequent rot. Causes can be: air, moisture, light, temperature, and microbial growth, can be also fungus/insect related but probably not in this case.

JosieA lot of peppers will sunburn if in direct sun for too long, but as the comment above says there’s several factors. Is it getting very direct afternoon sun?
