I got my neon pothos from the clearance plant section at Fred Meyers, so she’s always looked upset. Is there anything I can do? Her leaves are so light and I had to trim most of them off because they were brown and dead :( All I do is follow the planta instructions for watering/fertilizing and I’m glad she’s not dead but I feel like she’s not doing so hot still. Maybe real light? She’s currently in my bedroom with a grow light.

How long have you had her for? It could be the pot is too big for the roots/root rot as well.

I’d say a month or two? Perhaps repotting her again would be good

Just because planta says it's time to water doesn't mean that it's actually time to water. The conditions in your home and type of soil will determine when to water. I buy wooden skewers at walmart (100 skewers for $1) if you stick a dry skewer into the plant 3 to 4 inches down, and it comes out, clean or with dust on it then it's time to water; if it comes out with moist soil on it, do not water it yet. You can snooze the planta request for this plant for 2 more days and then check it again... fingers crossed for you! Best of luck!

Okay good to know! And I actually have some of those skewers so I’ll be doing just what you said, great idea. Thank you!

Have you tried only distilled or rainwater? I had this problem with light leaves and that really helped . 😊

planta scheduling is notorious for overwatering. always check before you water, fertilize every month or two in the spring/summer and sparsely / not at all in winter.
