Why is my inch plant becoming dull in color? Some of its leaves are super glittery and thriving. And there are ones like this that are flimsy and almost transparent. Is it too much light? They are a foot away from a east facing window

I’m no expert, but I’ve found that these plants love light, fertilizer, and regular haircuts. The first thing I’d do is trim those leaves off. Once in a while, I will trim some healthy leaves when it gets long and plop them in the soil to add volume, they have small roots that grow quickly. They get stringy and faded if the stems grow too long. I only water when the soil is completely dry, Planta wants me watering way too often. I stick a wooden dowel to the bottom of the pot and if it comes back wet/dirty, I leave it to dry longer so I don’t end up with fungus gnats. It thrives when you fertilizer it as well. I wouldn’t panic too much, these plants are pretty forgiving.

These plants are known for growing vines so long it kills them, you need to stay on top of it by pinching off the new growth at the end. Growth ≠ Health!!
