I have had fungus gnats in my plants for a while now and ive been watering with mosquito bits for a month or teo now and the still wont go away. I also have sticky traps set up (which there are gnats on them) and have sprinkled cinnamon in my plants!! They are still there! I am wondering if I should switch to bottom watering the plants? I have not been doing that because i want to kill the larvae through watering normally with the mosquito stuff… tia :)

I would recommend a hydrogen peroxide drench!! I had the same issue and now I do it to my plants once a month and it keeps them away :))

So you mix a little bit of hydrogen peroxide with water and then put it only into the soil (make sure to avoid the leaves bc it can ruin them), and then put the mixture until it starts to drain out of the bottom of the pot! It also will bubble but that’s normal :)))

There is a product called NeemMAX that is formulated for more soil problems. It’ll kill the gnats almost overnight. :)

    1. Top-water with 2 parts water 1 part hydrogen peroxide for 2-3 weeks or until you don’t see anymore larvae in the plants and you’ve waited another week. 2. Then start bottom watering. Only fill up a tray to 1/4 the size of the pot so the top two inches aren’t wet but the rest are. 3. Replace your sticky traps and add more, keep bottom watering and wait till there are no more fungus gnats! 😊 I’m using this method and it’s worked so far
