My string of rubies is showing these odd spots in the joints and along the stems. Any idea what’s going on here?

    Is it the white spots you are referring to? Looks like possible Mealy bugs. Do they seem fluffy and kinda cottony? … Thats mealy bugs. The little brown bumps are nodes and normal for the plant.

    It’s actually normal for this plant to have fuzzy white bits at the base of each leaf. I thought it was mealy bugs too when I first got mine over a year ago, but I saw a couple of Reddit posts that confirmed this is just how it grows. No clue why lol, but as long as you don’t find any mealy bugs or their egg clusters, you should be fine

      I found a bunch of Reddit posts about this, thank you so much for the tip! Definitely no bugs or eggs thank goodness.
