Hi! I got this jungle boogie philodendron from a nursery but it came with all these yellow spots. They are on all the leaves and the plant seems happy. Is this a pest? Any advice?

My Emerald green Congo philodendren had them for the 1st 5 or 6 years I've had her. Just clean with a little dawn dish soap and water and leave it alone (except water it lol and it will go away (hopefully) mine did. I heard philodendren get this but idk what its called.. Shorry

0 likesSometimes spots like that can be pest related but it’s hard for me to tell for sure. Philodendrons usually tolerate insecticidal soap really well so I would personally probably treat it 1x/week for a few weeks to be extra sure and keep it away from my other plants in the meantime. Full disclosure, I’m also extra twitchy about pests ever since having a thrips outbreak last year 😅 so my advice may be overkill
