I don’t know what’s wrong with my peace lily. I watered it and now it is dying. I really want to keep it alive as I got it from my late granddads funeral, please help

Have you checked the roots? Is it next to a heat source or a place that’s too cold? And how recently did you water it?

Maybe the plant is overheated if it’s next to a heating source? I usually keep my peace lilies about 1-2 feet away from my windows. I used to keep them too far or too close to the window otherwise mine would either turn yellow or would wilt all the time. Idk I’ve gotten really lucky with my peace lillie’s but I’ve heard they can be drama queens. Yours looks healthy otherwise- leaves are green, lots of flowers, so if you can’t find anything on the leaves like pests then I would probably check the roots of the plant to make sure there isn’t any rot

0 likesThe leaves and blooms look healthy, just droopy like when they want water. If you stick your finger in the soil, does it feel dry, moist, soggy? I have 3 peace lilies, all in different pots/locations. One of them is in terracotta (doesn’t hold soil moisture same as glazed/plastic pots) and in our living room where the fireplace is. That combo causes it to get thirsty every 4-5 days. Since this is such a sentimental plant for you, I want to help you troubleshoot and figure this out. If you filled out all the fields for the Planta entry on this plant, could you screenshot it? If not I can ask you some questions here. Let me know!
0 likesIt may also want to be misted. Follow the guidance on the Planta app for frequency on that. Another thing that my peace lily prefers is to be watered from the bottom in a pot for 10-15 minutes or until it no longer takes up water. Then drain it thoroughly in the sink. Good luck! You’ve got this!
1 likeDid it ever go back to normal after you watered it last weekend? Or did it look like this and stay like this before and after watering?
0 likesIt looked very good and then I watered it and it got droopy
