This Striped Dracaena plant was watered over 2 weeks ago, but never gets dry and I’m afraid maybe it’s got rot. It’s so big and heavy it’s hard to move or check. Any suggestions what’s going on or if I’ve been overwatering?

A few questions - how much light is it getting? I’ve read dracaenas prefer to err on being dry. And, my dracaena started doing a lot better once I switched to rain water from tap. I’d give it another week or two to dry out especially if it’s in less direct light.

I concur about the water. It doesnt rain a lot here, so I put a few drops of water conditioner- the stuff that makes water safe for aquariums- in to my pitcher. Just add a few drops per gallon of water.

좋아요 1개It looks to be a fungal problem from overwatering. Try poking holes in the soil to help dry it out. I would also cut the bad areas and spray fungicide on the leaves to halt the spread of the fungus. Adding a grow light may also help. Use a mix of peroxide and water at next watering and make sure it dries out in between waterings. I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏽. It’s so gorgeous!
