The day has come, my first pest problem. Brown soft scale:( An help and advice is greatly appreciated. And maybe some encouragement. The only rooms I can quarantine in get down to 50 degrees F and have poor lighting. Are all my plants going to get it? Will they die? How hard is this to get rid of? 😭 So far found signs on weeping fig, bop, English ivy, pothos, monstera

I’ve never had an infestation. I just have one umbrella plant that wants to get it. I sprayed with 70% alcohol and used a cotton swab with alcohol to remove the ones I could see. I did it daily until they didn’t appear. I put systemic in the soil. Now I do it about once a month. I did it this weekend and found 2. So I treated it and wiped those 2 off again. Honestly I didn’t find them to be that destructive or hard to get rid of, but you have to be diligent with it. I am 6mths from when I discovered it and as I said a couple cropped up. I’m sure it is a bigger issue if it catches onto several plants.
